Carol A. Blair

Carol A. Blair, 81, of River Vale, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012. She was born in Paterson to Lawrence F. and Anne (Walker) Kramer. Before returning to New Jersey, Carol had eventful journeys around the country as a United States Marine Corps officer and a Marine Corps spouse. During that time she raised her two children, Jack and Jennifer. She had a full second career as an elementary physical education teacher in the Paterson school district.

Carol is survived by her daughter Jennifer Blair; son Jack, and his wife Susan; her cherished grandchildren Elizabeth Blair Kowalewski, Katherine Blair and John Blair; her loving siblings Margaret Toland, June Guarino and Lawrence (Pat) Kramer, and many nieces, nephews as well as great- nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Kramer and nephew Robert Toland.

She will best be remembered as an unfailing patriot, selfless teacher, lover of horses, an expert bridge player and especially a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

The family will receive their friends on Monday June 4 from 4PM to 8PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd. Westwood, NJ, 07675.

The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday June 5 at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X, 268 Old Tappan Rd. Old Tappan, NJ 07675.
