Brian Hunter

HUNTER, Brian, 71, of Upper Saddle River, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. He was born in the Bronx, NY to Orrin and Katherine Hunter. Beloved husband of Ruth Hunter. Devoted father of Stacey Atkinson and her husband Robert, Tara Bauer and her husband David, and the late Brian Patrick Hunter. Loving grandfather of Erick, Max, Griffin, Tala, Brian, Kylie, Tristan, Chloe and Caleb. Dear brother of Catherine Murphy. Brian is predeceased by his brothers and sisters; Orrin, John, James, William, Geraldine, Suzanne, Rosemary and Kevin. Brian had a very successful career on Wall Street, having been in the Whos Who in the Wall Street Journal. He retired early to spend time with his grandchildren and play golf. He spent close to 35 years with the MAL (Montvale Athletic League) coaching football, where he is still known as “Coach Hunter”. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, August 27 from 2-6PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Brian’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Monday, August 28 at 11:30AM. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Brian’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
