Dear family of Alice Jones,

I am so sincerely sorry for the loss of your dear mother Alice.  She was my mother Rose Galdi Roma’s dearest friend in both childhood and as adults.  In writing my Christmas cards this year I was compelled to search your mom’s name and was saddened to learn of her passing in September.  I had stopped receiving cards from your mom the last several years but she always remembered me at Christmas time.  We often spoke on the phone, reminiscing about my mother and their cherished friendship. It will be 20 years since my mom passed away on 12/30/03… I miss her every day as I know you will miss your dear sweet mother Alice. They are all together now..Alice, Tom, Rose & Nick..

Sherry, Barbara and Connie had a very special friendship that continued through the years.
Good parents are very special too and when they leave us, sadness turns to smiles as we become them and carry on their ways of goodness and kindness.

Nanny, as I referred to her as since 9 years old was every bit my Grandmother. Being Nick’s best friend for three decades and also not having a Grandmother, Nanny made it a point to include me in birthday celebrations, holiday gatherings, and always made time to talk about my life. I received a card in the mail for birthdays year after year signed “Nanny.”  We planted gladiolus flowers together when I was 13. I recall when the internet started selling and shipping flowers and trees, she was the first person I told and then showed her this fascinating new concept to acquire horticulture variants from other countries. This idea excited us both. Nick and I dug the pond together in the back so Nanny could create her beautiful aqua scape. There are so many memories of her and Poppy in my childhood. I never once felt not included or not loved. She was a divine Angel from the Lord whose lives she impacted are far too endless to count. She, the Matriarch, will be watching down on us all, walking with us, and guiding us, just she did in life. As sad as I am for her transition from Earth, knowing that she’s reunited with Poppy and singing Frank Sinatra with him in Heaven encourages me and warms my heart. Thank you Nanny for the endless love. Love you!❤️

In my life, I thank God for blessing me with the greatest of mothers, Barbara Giacchi, whom I loved and continue to love deeply. 
However, if instead, God had given me Mrs. Alice Jones to have been my mother, I would have been surrounded by her love, wisdom and happiness, therefore I never would have known the difference. 
May your smile illumine the heavens more brightly than they’ve ever shone before. 
May your frequent and powerful prayers continue to impart goodness and good health upon your loved ones still here on earth.

Dear Sherry,Michele,Kathy & Allie,

I was so sad to hear of Mom’s passing. Remembering her as a gentle, sweet and oh so beautiful lady.  Soft spoken and always eager to engage in conversation.  I feel so fortunate to have witnessed some great married couples , including my own parents, and of course Tom and Alice Jones were one of them. Watching them dance in your living room will always be my fondest memory of them. How lucky you girls were to have Mom for so long to create such beautiful memories for the entire family. I can hear Sinatra now and know they are together again dancing away…..Our condolences to the entire family….and may her memory and their memory be a blessing to you all.
