He was born in San Jose, California on October 8, 1924. His family moved to Glendale where he attended Grammar School, Glendale High, and Junior College. He enlisted in the Navy after Pearl Harbor, serving four years in the States and the Pacific Islands.
Wendell then went to UCLA, graduating with a BS in Accounting. He continued in the Naval Reserve, and retired as Commander, serving as a Supply Corp Officer for a Reserve Mobile Construction Battalion.
After four years in Public Accounting, Wendell received his CPA license and held various Accounting, Controller, and Vice President Positions in industry. After the death of his mother in 1979, he returned to Public Accounting with his own practice.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn; He was a devoted Dad to five children: Douglas (Julie), Michelle (Rolf), Linda (Pino), Roger (deceased.), Patti (Dave), ten grandchildren and 3 great-grand children. He also leaves his brother Don (Marilyn) and their family.
He will be missed by many.
