Wayne, as he preferred to be called, was born in Southgate, California.
His parents, who preceded him in death were John Robert Kaylor and Margie Dean Goodson Kaylor.
At about the age of five, he was telling everyone that he was going to have a baby sister. Wayne did have one sibling, a sister, Joyce Diane Kaylor, However, he did not become a big brother until two years later
on May 24, 1957.
Wayne was a graduate of Westminster High school, the class of 1968. It was on that graduation evening, that he met the love of his life, Sharon Louise Kepner. They married on January 16, 1970. Three years Later, February 22, 1973 he became a father to his only child, William Robert Kaylor. This year, Wayne celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary with Sharon.
Wayne commenced his career by following in the footsteps of his Dad, becoming a Journeyman carpenter. He worked on many high rise buildings in Orange County, California. After many years in carpentry, he went to work for the University of Riverside in the chemistry department. He worked there for several years until he retired.
Wayne enjoyed going fishing, going to the movies, and model trains. Wayne built a workshop at his home in Riverside, CA and enjoyed building things in the workshop that he built. Whenever he was asked which restaurant he wanted to go to his response was always, “Outback”.
Wayne will be missed by his wife, son, sister, and daughter-in-law. He will also be missed by his many friends. What everyone will miss most, is his humor, his ability to fix anything, and his joking around making everyone laugh.
We all loved you Wayne, and you will be greatly missed.
