Sharon "Sherry" Bliss

She went to Lakewood High School and took college courses at Biola University. Her first job was at AAA as a receptionist. She owned and managed a travel agency in Stanton, CA for 3 years. Later in life, she worked for Holiday Inn and then, Radisson Hotels for approximately 20 years as a concierge.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her brother, Bud and her sister, Debbie; her sons, David & Michael; her stepdaughter and son, Shelly & Greg; her 9 grandchildren; 4 nieces and 1 nephew.

Sherry and Bob married on May 1, 1987. They love to travel. She and Bob have been to Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal,

Mexico, and Caribbean just to name a few.

Sherry loved life. She was very involved in organizing church activities and planned trips and themed parties for the church members.

She was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma in February 2013. After many trips to UCLA and other specialists, she died peacefully surrounded by her family at 9:45 am on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

Sherry is well loved by her family and her friends. She kept busy helping family and friends and whoever is in need.

She was an example, a role model, and an inspiration to many.

Her favorite bible passage is John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to every one for their love, friendship, support, and prayers.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Westminster Memorial Park. Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2:30 pm in the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel.
