Her siblings include; Juan Salinas, Francisca Salinas, Antonio Salinas, Ramon Salinas, Guadalupe Salinas, Jose Salinas, Sebastian Salinas, Julio Salinas and Natividad Rios. She is survived by her brother Natividad.
One of her childhood memories was to stand in front of the family's house and wave to the train engineer that always waved back to her as the train rumbled by on the tracks. At the age of five years the family began their journey West in search of work opportunities. Their travel took them through New Mexico to Colton, California and eventually settled in Santa Ana, California.
Rosie and her husband Porfirio Espinoza raised a family of four children; Robert, Nicolas, Bertha and Barbara. She has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her mother, Jesusita was a woman of Christian faith in God deeply committed to prayer. The example of her mother's faith grew into Rosie's own life and blossomed into a life of prayer and bible study. She hosted women's bible study groups in her home and the homes of others to share stories of the power of God, given to women as effective servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed encouraging young people to live a committed Christian life.
She loved her garden and spent hours tending to the flowers and talking to her Lord. The garden was her Chapel. She loved road trips, Diner food and a good cup of coffee. She made sure to always tip the waitress, having been a waitress herself. I'm sure the road trips brought back the feel of her childhood journey West.
From humble beginnings and a thrifty mother, she learned to value even a penny. As a housekeeper she managed her resources to increase and create income. She always gave thanks to God for His blessings and increase. Now she is rejoicing in her Saviors' presence.
A funeral service for Rosie will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, followed by a graveside service.
