He attended La Sierra High School, graduating in 1981.
Growing up in the Inland Empire, Rocky enjoyed bicycle motocross, spending many weekends at the old Corona Raceway. He was a talented baseball player, preferring to support the team as Catcher or Shortstop.
He was musically gifted, enjoying his guitars and he had the ability to pick out a tune, from ear, on the piano. His favorite pastime, however, was roller skating. If anyone was ever looking for Rocky – they need to search no further than California Skate.
In his adult life, Rocky followed in the family business and became a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed the independence that it provided, while allowing him to see so much of the U.S. There were times when he took along his golf clubs and was able to play a round at courses he had only dreamed about.
Later on, he made the transition to work/drive locally. This provided him time to be active with his most important activity – spending time with his grandkids. They were truly the light of his life. He always had new pictures of them and stories to tell about how proud he was to be their Papa.
Rocky is preceded in death by his father Kenneth K. Craig I, and his sister Bess (Craig) Wilkerson. He is survived by his mother Barbara (Prickett) Craig. His sister Barbara (Craig) Nichols. His sister Brenda (Craig) Hellerud. His son Kenneth K. Craig III and daughter-in-law Korrine Craig. Granddaughter Nova Craig and grandson Kenneth K. Craig IV.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30th from 12pm-1pm in Lakeside Chapel at Westminster Memorial Park 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA.
