John F. Arnold

John F. Arnold born in Fort Dodge, IA on January 17, 1936 to Harry and Marguerite (Cunningham) Arnold and passed March 1, 2013 in Fountain Valley, CA while surrounded by his family. He attended Fort Dodge, IA schools, graduating from Fort Dodge High School in 1954. John served in the National Guard until entering the navy in 1956 and discharged March, 1, 1960. He married the love of his life Milly Condon April 23, 1960. Along with family, John owned and operated the Standard Parts store (A NAPA auto parts store) in Fort Dodge and Eagle Grove, IA until 1967, when he moved his family to Costa Mesa, CA

John lead by example in showing that no matter what challenges you may face in life, with hard work and perseverance there is nothing that you cannot accomplish. He loved most spending time with his family and seeing all of his children and great grandchildren playing with him.

Preceded in death by both parents, brothers James Arnold and Joseph Arnold, sisters Jean Brodsack, Rose Lee Crawford, Edna McCullough, and Julie Simpson. Survived by wife Milly Condon Arnold, Westminster, CA, Children Patrick Arnold, Tony (Patti) Arnold, Carmella (Ray) Arnold-Snytsheuvel, Amy (Brian) Arnold Martin all of Orange County, CA ten grandchildren, Brittany and Cortney Arnold; Danielle (Jason) Snyder Jefferson IA, Andrew (San Jose, CA), Ryan, Emma and John Evan Snytsheuvel; Kaleigh, Molly and Jack Martin. Great granddaughters, Evelyn and Lacey Snyder, and Bella and Luci Arnold. Brothers Tom, Dave, and Dick Arnold, and Sister Mary Lou Johnson, and about 70 nieces and nephews. Vigil and Rosary March 5, 2013 Westminster Memorial Park from 5 PM - 8 PM, Mass of Christian Burial March 6, 2013 Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fountain Valley, CA, at 10:30 AM.
