Joe Dexter Tice

He passed quietly at his daughter Angela's home in Hemet, CA.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy from November 1951 to November 1955, where he served on board the USS Pomodon.

He married Gwen-Marsha Smith in a little chapel in Long Beach, CA on January 3, 1954.

Joe moved into his home in Westminster, CA in 1957. He lived there over 60 years. He was blessed with his 9 children. He was a hard worker and devoted member of the Operating Engineers until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed is kids, his ranch, livestock, rodeos, the VFW, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gwen-Marsha in 1982, his parents John, and Elizabeth, his in-laws Jesse H. and Gladys M. Smith. sister-in-law Lois (Smith) Soto, siblings Dean L., Averille A, Elvin F., John M., Robert E. Lee, Ivan L. (Pete), Betty J. and Dixie J. Tice.

He was married to Ruth Osbourn on December 17, 1983, and divorced on May 17, 1989, but retained partial custody of his 3 boys.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, music/singing, barbecues, neighbors, and Angels baseball.

He is survived by his brother Jack G. Tice, his 9 Children Marsha Jo, Debbie Noel, Teresa Lynn, John Hugh, Angela Robin, Sheila Marie, Travis James, Blake Adam, and Jesse Ryan, 22 grandkids, and 42 great-grandkids, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 2:15pm at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Boulevard, Westminster, CA 92683.

There will be a reception following at : 7172 Bestel Avenue, Westminster, CA 92683
