Hieu, I think of you very often. Especially now as people are concedering of reducing of CO2 as much as possible. You have invested in your privat research and created many prototypes in order to use  CO2 free energies. I wish I could make your ideas and developments public. I hope that your children and next generations will understand your special efforts and procede.

Oh Peter, you are missed already. We have gotten close over the years- especially since you moved next door to us. You were the big brother that I never had & Panda’s favorite person for sure! You took such good care of Bo & Me. You were always there for our family & for me- especially if I had computer problems or wanted to get away for the weekend & needed a dog babysitter!
You were so proud of your amazing sons. You were beyond excited for Clark’s birth & then wanted to hold on long enough to see Cannon. You did it! 
You were strong willed(!!!!) & opinionated but you were also kind & compassionate. You amazed me at how you could solve almost any electronic problem. Dave would often pick your brain for solutions to problems that he couldn’t figure out. You would quickly have a solution & then you would give him other feedback that would drive him crazy but he would get over it & you would be back being friends & brothers again.  
I miss your music & seeing you riding one of your many electronic scooters around the neighborhood with your little white shadow following behind you. 
Rest In Peace. I’ll see you in heaven for an epic Karaoke party my big brother. ❤️

Facebook chat is a strange place to monologue but the emotion is hitting me and I want to share my grief with the Phamily. I can remember a lot about uncle Peter from growing up. He was there to teach me how to fish at the land and on the pier, he taught me how to play pool. "Luck shots don't count" he would always say that. Even though he taught me how to skip the cue ball so it would do the cool bounce thing. He was old school hippie cool to the core. He wasn't a perfect person, but none of us are. He was family. So many of his idiosyncrasies just became normal over time, from his eclectic euro-pop playlists to his bedside stacks of used electronics. He didn't fit the mold, but something about his lifestyle was so beautifully Pham. He was Phamily.  Rest in peace, man.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother passing last night.

From my limited perspective, I’ll remember Uncle Peter as the first person I high fived walking onto the dance floor after Kim and I were married, playing the piano during holidays I was lucky enough to be a part of and taking the time to meticulously grow two pepper trees to peak condition before gifting them to us a few years back.

I’m glad he was able to find peace last night with his family by his side.  Rest In Peace, Uncle Peter.....

My dear beloved younger brother Hieu,
actually we are only about one year apart in age. We were born in Hanoi during a difficult time after the battle of Dien Bien Phu (1953 and 1954) and we were both on the long march from North Vietnam to South Vietnam. I could walk with my short legs, but you were carried by our beloved mother Lieu. It was a march into freedom to settle for a new life. It was and is your and my destination - FREEDOM. You kept your life free ever since to be helpful for everybody, free to have different mindsets than others surrounding you. I admire your creativity, transforming old stuff into new, useful things. Our mother said, your mind is different because you suffered so much pain: your butt was laying in hard diapers during the escape march. She wrapped all valuables inside them. One thing she did not know was that pain intensified your feeling of gaining freedom.
I am so sorry that you could not make it, traveling to Germany visiting me at our home, stay with me for longer time, since I could offer you a lot of opportunities for your Free Spirit.
But you are really FREE now. I could feel your presence beside me, as I saw you at your last moment in this real world. You can be anywhere you like now.
I love you, Hieu.

Certainly memories bring back the time anh Hiệu made little clay pots, pans for me to play cooking.  Memories bring back the time anh Hiệu fried little birds to make lunches for me, brother Chính and our youngest sister Hương ( ages: 4-10 ).  Then later told us that he used his slingshot...

We had moments of sibling rivalry during the growing up time,  but anh Hiệu always had the power of “saying so” as the older brother.
