Grace G. Meier

Grace Gertrude Love Meier went to heaven on December 13, 2013. She was born in Westminster, California on June 18, 1922. She grew up during the great Depression. She graduated from Huntington Beach High School. During WW II she worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Lockheed with her two sisters. In 1956 she went to work for Doctors Hospital in Santa Ana, was selected as employee of the year and worked there 34 years. In 1995 she married her long time childhood friend, Don Meier. They spent 16 years together, traveling and enjoying their life together. Her beloved Don passed away in 2011. She came from a large family of eight. She was predeceased by sisters Ruth, Lanell and brothers Bud, Jack, Mick and Gene. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, her grandchildren, Ted (Sonia), Matthew (Elaine) and Kate and her great grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Hailey, Gavin and brother Bob. Services for her will be as follows: viewing from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 19th and services at 9:30 am on Friday December 20th at Westminster Memorial Park. I love you Mom very much. Thank you for being my Mom. I know that you are with Dad and that you "are in charge.
