Heaven is brighter because Jerry Barron has joined its ranks. Jerry was raised in Los Angeles and enjoyed time with his three brothers and sister, Henry, Don, Kenneth, and Nadine. Jerry lived a life loving God, family and serving others.
From being the Cub Scout pack leader and helping his sons build winning pinewood derby cars, to his service in the U.S. Merchant Marine, his 50+ number of years with the Telephone Pioneer volunteers (helping thousands of people along the way), to being the rock and cornerstone patriarch of his beautiful large family.
He loved God, camping, fishing (especially in Utah), travel (literally, all over the world), cooking and food (especially his 100+ year family tradition of tamale making), planting and growing just about any type of plant or seed, and being there for and spending time with his family and those he loved. He and his wife Myrna have 7 children, 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was known by many names - from “Katzenjammers Kids” with his brother Henry, to Husband, Dad, Pops, Grandpa, Papa, Grandpa Fireworks, Great Grandpa, Uncle and most importantly – Child of God.
God welcomes you home, you good and faithful servant.
