Francisco was born April 4, 1936. On November 5, 1957, he married the love of his life, Maria Santos Finona (Deceased July 22, 2006). They built a rich life together, spending quality time with and hosting family and friends. Francisco was a loving Husband, Father and loyal friend. His years were filled with adventure, always surrounded by loved ones. His laughter and joyous spirit will be missed but never forgotten.
Francisco retired from the United States Navy, and was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal (two stars), Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Navy Unit Commendation.
Francisco was preceded in death by his loving Wife; Maria Finona Castro, his Parents; Jose Concepcion Castro and Carmen Rabago Castro, Sisters; Delores Babauta, Beatrice Yutig, Brothers; Santiago Castro and Jose Castro.
He is survived by one Brother; Joaquin Castro (Delores), his six daughters; Barbara Farrell (Terence) of Oak Harbor, WA, Patricia Castro of Murrieta, CA, Lorraine Howard (Kenneth) of Mesquite, TX, Eloise Guevara (Edward) of Temecula, CA, Virginia Castro of Murrieta, CA, and Catherine Castro of Murrieta, CA, as well as seventeen Grandchildren and twelve Great-Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Francisco will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683.
