I’ll always remember this amazing man who raised amazing children. Children that may not have biologically been his. Children who needed a father or a grandfather. Sometimes stern, sometimes a funny sassy man but always a man with your best interest at heart. I will remember what seemed like bi-weekly dinners with his family which I am so blessed to consider and extension of my own. 
I’ll remember being taught what celebrating both Christmas and Haunka and being exposed to the meaning behind both at his house. I’d like to say that’s what started my interest and acceptance in diversity and different cultures. 

Grandpa made the best malted crunch shakes ever!! I had a love and hate relationship with rubbing your feet but I knew how much you enjoyed it!  Grandpa was always kind and stubborn :) I loved him dearly and I am so sorry for the family’s loss.  He will be remembered everyday as a provider and a great stand up guy!  Love you PaPa

Too many good memories. The time a car dealer tried to sell me a piece of crap car and Dave let them have it!...the first time Dave met my husband Mike (boyfriend at the time) and I warned Mike that if he gave you crap he liked you and boy did he give him crap! Dave was a great guy!...always joking....always smiling. He will be truly missed but never ever forgotten!

  The moment that you died, our hearts broke in two. One side was filled  with memories, the other died with you.

Dave was a man with integrity.  He stood his ground and had the funniest jokes.  He showed me a few tricks in life.  Like how to push my restaurant bill at the edge of the table (To make the waiter come fast)   Judy and Dave were always joking around. It was funny to here them interact. They are an ideal marriage.  I’m glad I got to witness what love should look like between a man and a woman.  He will always be missed.  

I love you Judy.  I've known Dave since the 60's. He was a wonderful person and loved by everyone.  Last time we were together was at my BFF Lenore's 50th birthday party in Las Vegas.  I've loved  your entire family since the day we met. You're family is in my throughts and prayers.  Pat and I have talked about the Culver City days many times.  I'll always have you in my heart and soul. Forever your family friend.  Please reach out to me anytime.   PS ... I still have a crush on your cousin.  You were the perfect couple with the perfect life we all wish we could of had. Love forever, Pattie 

We had the honor of meeting Dave only recently, but the brief visit was a moment that will not be forgotten, and we are grateful for the time we shared.  
He was filled with love, and had the greatest sense of humor. We are blessed to have known him. We wish for his family peace, love and light.

I never got to meet you, but knew you through your son, and you sounded like an amazing man. I have to say you and your wife raised a beautiful man, who has the heart of gold , a loving soul.  For you , Joe will carry your love, your spirit, and will be there for his mom and sister.
RIP Sir,  someday in heaven you can pull the clouds away , and look down and see how everyone is doing , and know they do it all with love, grace, and happy memories.

I want to thank Dave and Judy for their friendship over many years.  The times of playing Farkel at night with drinks, and trips in the RV to Pismo and Galamis.   Being towed by the guys over the creek and those awesome burritos.  Riding in Dave's buggy was a memory I will never forget.  He was an amazing person.  Always  witty and sarcastic,  but loving and giving.  We spent many an hour sitting in the shop  (Colours by Dave) talking and laughing.  Spent days swimming in the pool with the kids,  Michelle, Joey and my daughter Elaine. 
He was an amazing warrior during his treatments and illness.  No one ever fought more harder than he.  He had a zest for life and didn't want to leave his family.   I truly believe Dave will still be here with us not only in memory but in spirit.   For the great never fade!
It broke everyone's heart to lose him, but he did not go alone.  He left everyone joyful memories, and his love will still be their guide.   Although, we cannot see him, he will always be by our side.   Rest now dear Dave, and know you are always loved.   Peggie Puryear
