Dana Lee Coleman was born in Long Beach, CA on October 10, 1956 to Ruth Galpin-Coleman and John Coleman. The family moved to Garden Grove in 1961 and Dana attended school at Sunnyside, Jordan, Bolsa Grande H.S., Golden West Community College, and MTI College obtaining an Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering Piping/Auto CAD. Dana joined the Carpenters Union in 1974, achieving a Journeyman's level in the trade. Dana traveled the United States working at his craft and was considered one of the best carpenters in Finish Work. He enjoyed spending time with family and many friends; along with fishing, camping, boating, watching 1960 & 1970s TV shows, anything on World War II and playing Trivial Pursuit - and he always won the game. Dana loved life and had a great sense of humor. Everyone was a friend. Dana met his sould mate at their high school class reunion and married Sandie Reed. They mentored and share their lives with three children, and saw them grow into fine adults: Daniel, Esmeralda and Axael Mata. They also have two dogs Mugs and Little Bit who brought Dana much happiness. Dana is survived by his wife Sandie Reed-Coleman and siblings Jay Coleman, Beth Coleman and Alyson Coleman and preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Jon Eric Coleman and Scott Coleman. Dana also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and close friends who were considered family to him. We will miss Dana and the laughter he brought to us all.
