To everyone posting here and on the Facebook site, those attending the service either live or streamed, folks sending such sweet letters and emails - THANK YOU from me and the entire McLean family.  It has all meant so much to us to hear stories about our sweet husband, father, brother, friend - our Thomas.   We are all doing as well as you would expect and learning how to forge ahead.  Thank you to everyone who has been there for us doing this very difficult time.  Be sure to give extra hugs for all your loved ones.  Be well - Micaela xoxo

When you move into a new neighborhood, you hope you will have nice neighbors. Tom and Michaela have been more than that. They have been absolutely kind, compassionate and so friendly! They have looked after us and our family. Tom was such a wonderful soul and we truly saw him as a close friend. He will be missed but always in our hearts and memories. 

Tom is one of the nicest and generous person I've met and I am deeply saddened that he was taken from us too soon.  My deepest sympathy to Micaela and the family.

Very happy and grateful to have known Tom and worked for him at Northrop Grumman.   It was not often that such a genuinely nice  and down-to-earth individual succeeded in difficult positions such as Director of Engineering.  Tom never lost his humanity despite the pressures placed upon him.  He was a great person at all times and loved by all.  I am a better person for having known him.   Thank you for everything , Tom. 

Tom McLean was one of the best, nicest, most considerate bosses I ever had.  I can't recall any specific memory, but he was always polite and treated me (as an Administrative Assistant) as a person.  His instructions were always clear and to the point.  And he always said "Thank You".  

Tom was a friend, colleague, and leader to many during his 35 years at Litton/Northrop Grumman, all on the Woodland Hills campus.  Tom had an amazing career both as an engineer and as a leader, and was known and loved by all.  There was no problem too large nor too hard for Tom to take on, and he resolved all issues with a calm, positive, and thorough nature.  He brought a smile and good humor to work every day, and was a joy to all who worked with him.  He is deeply missed every day by the Woodland Hills campus, by his team, and by me.  My deepest sympathies to all.

Tom was a valued friend and colleague and will be deeply missed. He was a great engineer, but an amazing friend and such a pleasure to work with. We faced many challenges but he worked hard to find solutions and always had a positive attitude.

Could it be 35 years ago I saw two guys looking into our lab windows in building 31?  Walking up the aisle, I thought they were lost. I  walked up to them, introduced myself, and asked their names.  It was Tom McLean and Greg Moore. They said they were scoping out our facility since they were moving from Eton street to the Woodland Hills facility (Litton).  I laughed and mentioned, I am their engineering planner if they needed anything,  any help with getting parts, or finding their way around, please let me know.  Since that time, Tom has been a good friend from work. From regular engineer to our director of engineering, he would always stop and say hello.  He and I passed many jokes together throughout the years. We even had a party for him when he became an American citizen (the jokes were relentless since his accent was so heavy) . I met his lovely wife one day leaving Brett's Deli with my father in law a couple of years ago. Tom was a lovely person and we be greatly missed.

Tom left us too soon, but he will live in our hearts and our memories full of love, joy, and compassion. Rest in peace Tom.
