Robert (Bob) Lepore was born on February 20, 1930 in Arlington, Massachusetts. He was the third of four children and is the last surviving member of his family. He attended St. Agnes School and Malden Catholic High in Massachusetts. He graduated from Northeastern University night school with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Engineering and Management in 1960.
He worked for MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), RCA (Radio Corporations of America), Burroughs, and Litton Industries.
During the Korean War, he performed radio work for the Air Force. He started basic radio training in Texas and completed the training in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1952 he came home and married Antonette (Anne) Guardabasso on September 13, 1953. They had four children and shared fifty memorable years together.
In 1968, Bob moved his family to California and began a new chapter in his life. In 1976, Bob left Litton to open up his own company which he named Micro Memory. After 20 years running the company, Bob retired to enjoy spending time traveling with Anne and hanging out with his 11 grandchildren. Bob's favorite times were when his whole family was gathered together each summer for the Lepore Annual Family Vacations spent on the beach in San Diego. He loved playing games, especially bridge and golf with his friends and Shanghai and poker with his family.
Bob’s devotion to family extended to his beloved Red Sox in whom he never lost faith even though he had to wait 74 years for them to win the World Series.
Bob was a quiet and humble man, with a big heart and always putting others first. Bob lived for his family and was the epitome of a family man; caring for those he loved, from his parents and siblings, to his wife and in-laws, to his children, nieces and nephews, and his grandchildren. By his strong example, he taught all who met him the value and importance of family. The memories shared with Bob whether gathered around a game table, laughing over shared meal conversations or times celebrating the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
He was a loving, generous, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His warm and welcoming smile, his kind and generous spirit, his words of wisdom that so many people found guidance in and the love he so freely gave will be greatly missed. We love you!
