Remember Me

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow.  Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I've only gone to rest a little while.  Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt, and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be.  Because, I will remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.  As long as I have the love of each of you, 
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

I miss you everyday. I want to pick up the phone or go see you just to talk about what is going on in my life. I cannot believe it has been 2 years. I hope you are having fun! I got a call from UCLA the other day asking about you. Remember when you gave blood, they wanted you to go and do some testing to see what was causing the muscle disease. I told them that they can use your blood for whatever research they needed because that is what you wanted. I hope they find the cause or cure someday. I love you and miss you very much. Frank (your brother) and your sister-in-law cannot believe you have been gone for two years today, and miss you so much and love you and talk about you every day. You left us too early and miss all the good times we had together. You are the reason I married your brother and love you for it. It will be 49 years in August. God, I do love you and hope you are having fun up in heaven with good ole Parkie. Maxine, you will always be in our hearts and pray that, all your family stays safe from harm and health. You've been gone two years and it's something that doesn't get easier with time. I know you know about all the exciting things that are going on in our lives and that makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully you are having a blast up there with papa and your friends and watching over us to make sure we end up ok. We all miss you and love you very much.

Hi Mom,
It's been two years today that you left us and it is so unreal and I will never get over losing you at such a young age.  You still had several years to go and to see all your children, grand-children and even great-grandchildren grow-up and make lasting memories.  Not one day goes by without thinking of you and how much we all miss you so very dearly. I know that I miss going shopping with you and I am sure Diane does too.  I remember that day when we were in line at Target waiting for it to open in the cold and they came around and gave us coffee or hot chocolate.  Those were the good days and I wish we could still be doing great things with you.  I remember growing up and making Christmas cookies and candy.  I am sure your brothers still would love to have your homemade fruitcake that you made for them every year. I remember when you came to visit Diane and I at our house in Citrus Heights and she made you her fried eggs for breakfast and her Chimichangas for dinner you were in heaven over them.  Diane really enjoyed her talks with you and how you really opened up to her and told her about how you grew up and other things that still to this day will not tell me what you told her.  Diane is a great person and that is why I love her so much and would never let her go.  She is a true friend and wonderful person to be around.  It has been very hard to even think you are gone and it brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of you.  Thank you for being a wonderful mother.  I am sure one day we will see each other and we will all be one big family wherever it may be.  I will always LOVE you and forever miss having you around.  Take care MOM. Today is the 2nd year you have been gone. I still think you are on a vacation somewhere. I know you are in heaven with Parkie, and other family members. I am still trying to adjust to you being gone. But it sure is hard. I miss your smile and the talks we had. The hugs and kisses. Thanks for being the best Mom a girl could want. Life will never be the same without you. We just have to remember the good times, and laugh about them now. I know this is part of life but it's still hard some days. We will see each other some day. Love you forever and ever.

Wow I cannot believe it has been almost two years that you left us.  Time passes by so fast these days.  I so miss you and still cannot believe you are gone.  I still think of you everyday and it seems it gets harder as the days go by. I miss you every day.  I think about you and wish I could talk to you again.  I am so glad that when you moved up I was able to spend more time with you.  I will never forget calling you when I was at work and asking you what you were doing and you said you were tired of being in the house so you were at Walmart walking up and down the aisles.  I laughed at you and you were laughing too.  Or when I said I wanted to go to Targeee and you said you wanted to go because you had never been there.  I laughed and said no Mom its just Target. It has been hard losing you, we got really close when you were living with me and Rock. It was very hard letting you go and moving you down to be closer to Debbie and her family, but I know now it was best for all of us. Nicole got to get to know her Grandmother, the way I think a Grandmother and a Granddaughter could under the conditions of your health. I'm glad you had the time that you had to get to know eachother. I'm sorry I didn't think of doing it sooner, so you could of had more time. But we weren't expecting you to get sick either. I'm sorry I couldn't stay down there and be with you more when you were sick. I couldn't sit there and watch you so sick.It hurt my heart to much. I didn't do well when Parkie got sick either. It's been awhile since I wrote you and even really talked out loud to you and I feel really guilty about that. Lately I have been going through so many different things and wish that I could just go and talk to you and hear what you have to say about it. You always gave me such great advice and made me laugh and some of the little things you would do. I really hope you are enjoying yourself up there and know that even though many of us are dealing with different things that we all love you and think about you as often as we can.

Happy Mother's Day Grandma. We miss you down here a ton and think about you often. I hope you are having a nice brunch with papa and keep us watched over.

A day doesn't go by without me thinking about you.  I think about all the things you taught me that I still do.  I make your yummy chicken and dumplings and I think about you.  I crochet and know that you taught me.  I just miss you so much and I know that I always will.  You were a wonderful and loving mother who cared about her girls and Mark and all her grandkids. I can't believe that it has been a year now. I feel like it was just yesterday.  I love you and miss you always.

I couldn't write to you yesterday because it has been a rollercoster of a ride all year. I still want to call you everyday and see want you are up to for the day. Was it going to be Bingo, painting or walking with a friend. I miss the conversations and the help with dealing with life. I still talk to you even though you are gone. I just hope that you can hear me. I miss seeing you on the weekends when I could get down there. I hope you aren't mad at me for making you move out of my house. I just think you had more to do at the assisted living. I do think that you had fun living down there close to Debbie and her family. I know you got close to Nicole and it has been very hard for her to lose you. I do hope you are up there having the time of your life with Parkie. It has been exactly one year from today that you left us to go be in a better place where there is no pain and suffering.  I still cannot believe it.  I miss you very much and only wish that you were still here to enjoy talking to you everyday.  I miss your smile and sense of humor.  I know you are watching over us and keeping us in place.  I still cry everytime I think about you and I am sure this will never go away for the rest of my life. I will never forget how much you love us and hope for the best of all your children, grandchildren and brothers and sister-in-laws. It's been a year today since you passed on and it has been a hard one at that. There are so many good and bad things that have happened this year that I wish I and the rest of your family and friends could share with you, but no longer can. We know that you are watching over us closely, but it is not the same as being able to talk to you by just a phone call. We miss you terribly more and more each day and hope you are having a good ol' time where ever you are. We know you are in a better place and you are no longer suffering, but it would be nice to be able to just see and talk to you. Keep us safe. We all love you and hope to be able to see you again someday.

So it's Christmas time, your favorite time of the year. And you aren't here. It feels really weird and it makes me tear up because it doesn't feel like Christmas without you here. I keep hearing the song Grandma got ran over by a reindeer and it reminds me of that little rocking chair reindeer stuffed animal we got you that sang it. I don't like this feeling of having to not be able to go see you and go decorate your apartment like we did last year. We put up that little Santa Clause that tells the night before Christmas that you won with last year. I remember how excited you were to get it, and then how you were kind of irritated that the one lady kept bidding higher even though she didn't have that many bucks. I miss you Grandma and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and are celebrating up there with papa and watching over us to make sure we are all ok. I love you.

Well it has been 8 months now that you have been gone, but it still doesn't feel real to me. I know next month is going to be hard simply because you loved Christmas. I keep going to Walmart and seeing those Christmas ribbon candies you used to love and the Peeps. We found your Christmas decorations from your apartment and it made me want to cry. I know you are still here with all of us but I wish I could see you and talk to you. I hope you are having a great time in heaven and are watching over us to make sure we stay safe. I love you

It still doesn't seem like you are gone, even with the reality right in front of me. The pictures at the cemetery doesn't even make it right. I still miss you each and everyday. I love you very much. So today it has been 7 months since you passed and I can say it hasn't gotten any easier to accept it. I keep telling myself that you are on vacation and you will be back soon even though I know that isn't the case. I miss seeing you in your chair at the apartment making weird faces because of the awful stuff you had to drink at dinner. I miss hearing you talk about how often you played bingo and won. I miss putting your ice in your cup just the way you liked it. I just miss you. I know I will be able to see you again, but not for awhile. I know you are still here with me, but I just wish I could sit down and talk to you and be able to see you. I hope you are having as much fun up there as you can. Until we meet again.

Mom, I cannot believe it has been three months since you left us.  I wish we could bring back time so we can see you again.  No day goes by without thinking about you and how we all miss you so very much.  I wish you were here.  Everyday I think about calling you and then I remember that you are no longer with us. Grandma there are no words that can describe how I feel. I miss you more and more everyday and I wish I could just go see your smile and talk to you. I have so many memories that I got to share with you and wish that we could make more. I will never forget when I would show up in my ripped jeans and you calling them my "holey jeans". I'm glad I got to spend as much time with you as I did these past 10 months and I'm glad you were able to watch me graduate. I will never forget when on the way back home from Sarah and Tarah's graduation party that Uncle Frank hit a bird with the motor home and we wondered what the weird sound was. Seeing your smile was what kept me going and remind me that life isn't so bad. God has made you into a beautiful Angel and I can't wait to see you again. I love you and miss you tons.

Mom, I will always remember your Thanksgiving dinners, your chicken and noodles, and Christmas candy making.  I remember our summer vacations with the whole family and visiting all the relatives. You have the most beautiful blue/gray eyes that I will never forget and a smile that brings happiness to everyone you are around.  You are the world's best mother and raised your children to be loving, caring individuals.  I love you and you will be forever in my heart.  I will miss you so much. Mother in Law, I will miss sharing recipes, and the way your face would light up when you recalled a fond memory. You shall remain forever in my heart.

Mom, I remember when mom used to dress all of us girls is the same outfit. Mom you were there for us no manner what good or bad I will treasure that forever.  I will always remember when we rented a motorhome and when to the Worlds Fair in Vancover, Canada.  She taught me how to cook, sew and to be a very loving person.
