Kenneth "Ken or Kenny" Laurence Handler

Lived to be 83 years old

Was born in Los Angeles at Queen of Angels hospital.

Graduated from Hamilton High School in 1958

Earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cal State LA in History and English and also earned a Master of Arts degree from Cal State LA and UCLA

Career started as a highschool teacher. He went on to be a Dean of Administration and then a Assistent Principal.

Ken retired at 61 years old and enjoyed being at home in Agoura Hills and also at his mountain house in Pine Mountain.

After a few years, Ken went back to work for National University where he trained and supervised interns.

Ken was always actively involved with his 3 children Kelby, Nikki and Dennis and his 5 grandchildren Karly, Julian, Bryce, Jaylin and Preston.

Ken was especially involved with his daughter Nikki's care and was active on all of the parent boards.

Ken met his wife of 63 years, Barbara Jean Kravetz when he was 17 years old and they were married in 1960. They enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad. Ken's favorite destinations were Civil War sites, Vermont and Switzerland.

Ken is survived by his wife Barbara Handler, his children Kelby Viole' and husband Larry Viole', Dennis Handler and wife Melissa Handler, grandchildren Karly Viole' and husband Shane Bender, Julian Viole', Bryce Viole', Jaylin Handler and Preston Handler.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Los Robles Hospital, the home healthcare nurses and caregivers that provided outstanding care to Ken.

Family and Friends are invited to attend services at Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Westlake Village, CA followed by a reception at the Handler Family home in Agoura, CA.
