Jordan Wendkos of Calabasas, California passed on November 22, 2021, at age 64. He was born on March 30, 1957, to Paul and Ruth Wendkos of Beverly Hills, CA. He went to Beverly Hills HS class of 1975 and then attended the University of Santa Cruz.
Jordan worked closely with his father,
film director Paul Wendkos. Jordan become of member of the Directors Guild of America in 1990, as an Assistant Director. He worked on many film and TV shows; Lady Boss, American Gun, White Hot, Blind Faith just to name a few. Jordan wrote and directed a short film, “War Within” in 1988, which won various film festival awards. Currently, he was working on a documentary about the Spanish Civil War.
Jordan had many interest in Spanish, Jewish, Early American settlers, and Hawaiian history. He was a man who traveled and lived in Spain and Hawaii for extended periods of time, where he met many colleagues, actors, historians, and writers. Jordan touched many lives and will be missed by many all over the world.
He is survived by his daughter, Justine Wendkos; former wife, Daisy Wendkos Flick; and numerous friends.
