John Thomas Polito

John was born July 1, 1922 in Somerville, Massachusetts, and passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the age of 90. He is survived by his loving wife Rose, of sixty-eight years, whom he adored; his children, daughter Anna, & husband George, son Michael & wife Sharon, daughter Antoinette & husband Mark; Grandchildren John, & wife Kattia, Ryan, & wife Sharon, Lauren, David, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren Vincent, Dominic, and Peyton.

John served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War 2. He later worked at ABC Television from 1958 through 1984. After which, he became the President of the union which represented ABC, NABET Local 57, from 1984 until 1991. After retirement, John returned to school to obtain his certification as a paralegal. His family always was, and will remain, the most important thing to him, and the closest thing to his heart. They will miss him deeply.

Viewings will be held on Thursday, June 13, and Friday, June 14, from 6 pm until 9 pm at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks in Westlake Village. Memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at St. Maximilian Kolbe in Westlake Village.
