James “Jim” Nuciforo 88 of Camarillo, California passed away peacefully on February 17th, 2014. Jim was born October 14th, 1925 in Brewster, Pennsylvania to Larry and Anna Nuciforo and was the eldest of 9 children.
Jim joined the Navy during WWII then ventured to California after his discharge in 1945. 5 years later he married his wonderful wife Amelia “May” Nuciforo. Jim, May and his family moved to Thousand Oaks in 1963 where he had a long and successful career as a painting and drywall contractor. Jim loved boating, golfing, gardening and cooking wonderful meals for his large and loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, May Nuciforo, his 5 children; Deborah Nuciforo of Palm Springs, James Nuciforo Jr. of Camarillo, Michael Nuciforo of Thousand Oaks, Gregory Nuciforo of Camarillo, Christopher Nuciforo of Newbury Park, his 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd. Westlake Village, Ca. 91362. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow immediately after service.
