

Howard C. Doolittle, 94, passed away on January 22, 2017 at Vintage Simi Hills Assisted Living Facility in Simi Valley, CA. He was born on September 4, 1922 in Endicott, New York to William and Lillian Schaeffer Tattersall.
Howard grew up in Endicott, New York. After high school, on October 6, 1942, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Howard served in China specializing in bomb disposal. He received an honorable discharge in May of 1946, achieving the rank of Captain. He finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Dartmouth College in 1947. Howard began work for General Electric Company in 1947 as a Regional Sales Manager. In 1974 he moved on from GE and founded Active Real Estate Home Owner loans. He helped buyers and sellers with their real estate needs until he retired in 2001.
Howard married Alice in 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA. They were happily married for 59 years. Howard was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He had a passion for real estate and investing and was devoted to his family.
Howard was preceded in death by his Wife Alice, and his parents William &Lillian.
Howard is survived by his daughter Jean Littleton of Simi Valley, CA; his son Jerry Doolittle of Simi Valley, CA; his daughter JoAnn (Mark) Tattersall of Westlake Village, CA; his son James Doolittle of Simi Valley, CA; his brother Kenneth Doolittle of Florida; his grandchildren Micah Littleton, Amber (Jesse) Serrano, Chad Doolittle, Brett Tattersall, Ryan Doolittle, Reid (Megan) Tattersall, Lindsay Tattersall; and his great-grandchildren R.J., Morgan, and Grace.
