I became a student at Musonia about 6 months after Randy passed. Craig was my instructor. Very patient, methodical and talented individual.  Deeply saddened by his passing. 

Like many of the people who find this page, I studied with Craig at GIT in the middle 90s. I was mad that I didn't get the instructor I wanted but Craig was great and I learned a lot from him. He even made some concessions for me when I had an accident and snapped a ligament in my hand right before finals! Fare well, Craig. 

I was fortunate enough to study guitar with a Craig at Musonia and at his home in Pacoima.  I would not be the player I am today without his teachings...he was by far the most talented guitarist I've ever met.

We shared another commonality besides guitar too: Military Fighter Jets.  Sometimes our lessons would go over time because we would sit and talk about jets.

Just prior to his passing, Craig and I talked about my son who is now flying the F-16 and he seemed to be happy to know that we still shared that same passion.

I will miss Craig...he was a great teacher, but also a kind soul and a good friend.

I am really sad to hear of Craig's passing....we were Elementary school friends. He lived across the street and it was always nice to see his big smile while riding his Sting-Ray bike . He was a little ray of sunshine very early on in life. My heart goes out to his wife and family, and know he is loved by all who's lives he touched ..in every chapter.

I was one of the thousands of students that Craig taught at M.I. in the early 90's, but he was my favorite instructor. He even once let me play his beloved Les Paul only to tell me it looked like I was playing a ukulele because I'm 6'3"!! To this day I tell that story from 25 years ago and it always makes me and anyone I tell it to belly laugh! Later i started working at a M/C dealer and ran into Craig again and he immediately remembered that he used to call me Nick Bob as a joke because I'm from Oklahoma. Anyone that came across Craig was lucky to make his acquaintance, indeed.

Just now learning of Craig's passing.  Our paths took us in different directions and even though we had not seen each other for quite some time, I still remember all those surf sessions we had together and other wonderful memories that I'll never forget.  Craig was a true good soul and I feel lucky to have been his friend. Rest in peace.

I was one of Craig's guitar students when he taught guitar at the Musonia School of Music in the 1980's. To this very day one of the best guitarists I ever met bar none. I was lucky to meet a star quality guitar player like that in the L.A. area that would actually sit down with me and actually teach me something. Craig could turn a Les Paul and a Music Man tube amp into a fire breathing Godzilla sized sound. I'm so sad I'll never get to show him my albums I made later in my life. The man was a real-deal California Rockstar grade guitarist. I'll cherish the things he influenced me music-wise for ever. I still have my pic of him in the 80's with his rocked out blond hair too. I only knew Craig for only a few months but he impacted my life by his kind and humble spirit.  My thoughts are with his family during this time of loss.  

Kinda met him by chance in Milwaukee - see there was an article about him in the Express newspaper - I finally found the issue & wrote him - someone I knew actually had his number - so I called him - explained why I was calling - he understood - told him I wanted his music - this was 1986 or so - sent the money - he sent the music - I have 99% of his music I think only two or three songs are missing - we became friends across decades - I now live in STL area- - Even the Scorpions know who he is - yes I have known them since 1984 - we remain friends - my day has not been easy or my life - which Craig was aware of 0 had not spoke to him since 93 or so maybe - he was always very understanding so was Drew Forsythe - his drummer - Thanks Drew & Sorry Craig is gone - I am bumming - many more in the music world now know  Sad Day in deed - may have heard his music - more than one might think as I have had it play'd in front of thousands  Thanks for the good times Craig - you are sadly missed - always will be from this day on  $t@n

Dear Bonese and Glenn, My deepest sympathy for losing someone so special. Craig was both a regular customer of mine and friend for many years purchasing all of his motorcycles from me first starting small and moving his way up into the large cruisers and all the way to the Honda Valkyrie and Gold Wing. Then he road up with us to Laguna Seca and got a hankering to try a sports bike which he quickly fell in love with and went through several more sportbikes enjoying everyone of them and the lifestyle. I was their to talk with him when had the issue with ICE and his Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store and to vent too. I had moved away back in 2009 with my family (he even came to my in-laws send off party for us) to NC and kept up with him for a little while, but then like many long distance friendships slowly didn't talk as much. Literally only 3 days before he passed away, I had decided to to attempt to contact him via email and telling him what had been going on with me and that I was just checking in. Then I got this news. I can only hope it was fast in the end. I lost my father just a few years ago the exact same way. He will be truly missed by all who know him. Sincerely;

So sorry to hear about Craig's passing. Your Collins family here on the east coast wishes with all our hearts we could be with you. Although we didn't get to spend much time with him, hearing of his accomplishments from you made us feel like we had.  There are no words to tell you how saddened we are. We love you very much.

Craig I'm so glad we had the ability to spend time together the last few years. You were always the kindest soul and even when you were going through tough times you cared more about others than yourself. Blue skies my brother I'll miss you.

Craig we met you when you were barely a toddler and you and your folks became part of our extended family. My good friend Craig,

I first met you over fifteen ago on a VFRD ride.  You came over to check out my bike and introduce yourself.  I could tell from the beginning we were going to be good friends.  We have been on so many rides together and enjoyed going to the Freddy Spencer racing school in Las Vegas several times.  I always enjoyed our lunches discussing riding skills, moto racing and bike mods.

I was also happy that we shared another passion  Guitars.  I always enjoyed coming to your house for lessons and friendship.  You have taught me so much.  I cannot look at a guitar and not think of you.  I can hear you telling me to practice more.

Craig and I shared many other interests and he was so easy to talk to because we were one and the same. Craig is the kind of friend you only get once in a lifetime.

I am very grateful to have known such a kind, loving and wonderful person.  You continue to be in my prayers and you will always be my good friend.  I miss my friend.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Craig's passing.  Rest in peace my brother. It's been years since we've seen each other. But our formative years were formed together...a million images playing in my head...memories I will never forget and over the years have always been close to my heart.

I am so very saddened by the loss of one of the sweetest musicians I ever knew. Craig's light always shone bright, even in adverse situations & his smile was contagious. We are so very sorry for your loss and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Craig.  He had such a beautiful spirit always thinking the best in everybody.  He was a delight to be around, even when diagnosed he was positive and figured a way to be thinking of others. He had a contagious laugh and his talent was immeasurable. Whether passing us on his motorcycle or his flying fingers on one of his guitars, he made everything he did seem effortless.
