Chris was dropped into my life back in Junior High.  Waiting for the T.O. Transit one day he embellished me with the most bizarre story of how his dad was a head crip from Phili and how it was hard to be a gangster prodigy now and days.  Shortly after waiting with him at the bus stop on another occasion he asked if I wanted to cruise the T.O. and hang.  We eventually became Best of friends and spent years of time hanging and kicking it.  We never had a chance to kick it right before his wedding or after, and I just took it for granted that we would hang again regardless.  I regret not making more of an effort.  Shortly after his baby girl was born he reached out and called me and I remember the convo verbatim.  I just bought some pinned stripe Kobe’s and was trying to get my 2 year old and baby momma down three fleets of stairs to the car to get dinner.  I told Chris after not talking because of a fallout on both of our behalves that I’d call him back and I never did.  Not because I didn’t want to but because I just new that he’d be there.  Well Chris I was wrong.  Wish I followed up and wish I was there for you Homie.  Would have it mattered I don’t know.  But I Love you Bro and wish we had one more hang.  Thank you for being a True Friend and inviting me into your life.  - Peace 
*Wilma - I am so sorry this has had to happen.  Chris will always be in my Heart.  You must know that he Loved you more than the World.  Sorry I missed his ceremony.  

I was blessed to become friends with Chris about 10 years ago.  We worked at InterBank together.  Chris and I stayed friends after we both left and continued to stay in contact with each other these last 10 years.  Chris was kind- he was kind to everyone.  He never said a bad thing about anyone.  He always wanted to know how me and my family were doing - that was his first question every time we talked.  He LOVES his daughter and talked about her all the time.  He loves his parents and spoke often of them and how much he loved them, how lucky he was to have such awesome parents.  God sure did get a good one back.  I will miss him and I love him - he was/is such a good friend to me.  I want Chris' family to know he was sunshine to everyone.  I am so deeply sorry for your loss- please know I mourn the loss deeply.


I have sat here trying to find a way to make what I want to say about Chris sound elegant, but like Chris himself, I just want to be real. Chris was a colleague, but more than that, he was a true friend. He was smart and funny and wacky. He provided me with some of the best laughs and fun times and I will miss him dearly. He was always there for me if I needed his help. The world is less shiny without him in it. I just want his family to know what an amazing person I thought he was and how much he meant to so many people.
