WILLIAM G. LUCAS, on August 4, 2013, God gave William G. Lucas a new body after a long battle with cancer and other debilitating diseases. He was born to Hubert L. Lucas (b. 1906 - d. 1938) and Brooke Hughes Lucas (b. 1909 - d. 2008) on December 20, 1937. He was a member of Christ Memorial Church in Holland, MI., attendee of LifeQuest in Holland, MI., Cross Roads Church in Bay Village, OH. He began his life as a member Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in WV., the oldest church in Raleigh County. He was a lifelong member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, an Accounting and Tax instructor of two colleges. William had the honor of working for both Otis Elevator and Crucible Steel in Cleveland, OH., and was owner and operator of Western Foundry in Holland, MI., for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Lucas of 54 years, his daughter, Gwendelyn and Dwight Williams and grandchildren, Brooke, Jordan, Garret and Krista of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.; son Kevin and Dee Lucas and grandchildren, Christopher and Dellaney of Romulus, NY., and son, Brian and Maggie Lucas and grandchildren, Dierdre and Jacob of Garfield Heights, OH. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob and Mary Lucas of Brunswick, OH., Mary Ellen Dalton of Anderson, SC., Dennis and Cindy Lucas of Quinton, VA., and Ruth and Carl Gehrman of Lakewood, OH. He left behind many friends and favorite cousins, too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 8 p.m. at the CATAVOLOS-BERRY FUNERAL HOME, 23040 CENTER RIDGE ROAD, WESTLAKE where the family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M.
