Beloved husband of 44 years to Doreen Samol-Jaberg; devoted Grandpa to Travis Jaberg; loving cat dad to Sable, otherwise known as "Black and Fluffy"; cousin to Keith Johnson, brother in law to Lillian Predota and cherished friend and "brother from another mother", Gary Bronson.
Rick loved fishing and golf, and he had a deep love for animals. Whether it was a day spent by the water at Pelee Island, a quiet morning on the golf course with Doreen, or simply being around the animals he cared for so much, those were the things that brought him most joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rick's name may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a memorial service at 6:00 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio 44145. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:15 PM on Wednesday April 16, 2025 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273. Please meet at the cemetery by 2:00 PM.
