Dean was a native of Westlake, moving to Missouri as a young boy where later graduated with honors from Cameron High School. After graduation he returned to Westlake working for Dunham Price and R.E. Heidt Construction. Dean worked as a heavy equipment operator and a cross country driver,
He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and riding horses. He was also a gun collector. Dean was a loving son, father, paw paw, brother, nephew, and uncle who will be missed dearly by many and loved very much! “The way a person leaves this world does not define who they are.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Thomas Myrick and Terry Jean Fontenot Myrick; and a nephew, Tommy Wayne Myrick.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his fur baby, Sheba; his sons, Dallas Myrick, Daniel Myrick and Beau Myrick; brother, Tommy Gene Myrick; sisters, Connie Myrick, Tracey Lynn Myrick and twin sister, Wilma Dale Myrick Doxsee; seven grandchildren, five nephews, two nieces and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will be held Monday, 5 – 8 p..m. and will resume Tuesday at Noon until time of service at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
