Shirley Nix Mims

Westlake - Shirley Nix Mims, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

Mom really enjoyed bingo, bowling, sewing, playing cards and cooking. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Adams and wife Hanna of Ragley; Wyley Adams and wife Cindy of Westlake; daughter, Jessica Mims Estillette and husband Chad of Lake Charles; brother, Ralph Kermit Nix of Granada, TX; sister, Bessie Olia Hooper of Florien; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mims; son, Arthur "KeKe" Adams; parents, Toney and Bessie McDonald Nix; brothers, Tony, Neil and Donald Nix; sister, Novie Jeanette Melancon.

Her service will be 11am, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Rev. Dwayne Daigle will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm until 9pm and resume Friday from 8am until time of service. Burial will be at Bagdad Cemetery.
