Patrick Dwayne Guthrie

Pat was born in Lake Charles, La. He grew up, being raised in the Catholic Church and graduated from Westlake High School in 1979, but has lived in Baytown, TX. for the past 35 years, where he worked for Filters Unlimited until he recently moved back to Westlake. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with his loyal Labradors at hand.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Guthrie and three siblings, Cathy Buller, husband Roland, Chrissy Simpson, and husband, Terry and brother, Greg Guthrie, all of Westlake; and sister-in-law, Denise Guthrie of Baytown, Tx.; and beloved black lab, Diesel; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard “Art” Guthrie, his brother Mike Guthrie, and nephew David Paul Guthrie.

The family requested in lieu of flowers memorial to be made to the American Heart Assoc. or charity of choice in his name. Also they requested friends and family to wear camo or dress casually.

His Memorial Service will be 1pm, Monday, January 1, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Deacon Fred Reed will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9am until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
