Margie L. Koonce

Margie Koonce, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Harbor Hospice. She was born in Brazoria, TX. but had lived in Westlake most all of her life. She attended First Baptist Church of Westlake as long as she was able. She worked as a Branch Manager at Chase National Bank. She was also a member of the Autumn Club.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Shattuck and wife Arlene of Boynton Beach, Florida, and Alan Shattuck and wife Karen of Franklinton, LA. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Wease of Westlake, LA., and Debbie Brown and husband Mark of Houston, TX. Also, she is survived by one brother Sidney Blume of Springs, TX., and two sisters, Lois Marbach of Roswell, NM., and Joy Ray Vines of Monroe, LA. Also, she leaves behind seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husbands John H. Shattuck and August Koonce and her parents John and Ida Blume.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30am at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Oliver McGuire and Dr. Wayne McEntire will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4:00-8:00pm and will resume on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 9:30am until the service time. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery of Westlake.
