He was a native of Welsh and had been a resident of Sulphur over 60 years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Leonce was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his brothers Joe and Louis. His most precious time spent was with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Verdie Daigle; his children, Larry Daigle and Virginia O'Quinn and husband, John, all of Sulphur; his brother, Claude Daigle and wife, Joy of Colorado; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Herman Daigle; his parents, Gabriel and Ada Daigle; four sisters and two brothers.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, in Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Deacon Patrick Lapoint will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday with a Cursillo Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and will resume at 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service in the funeral home.
