John Calvin Dyson Sr.

He was born August 4, 1953 in Creole to Herman and Margie Boudreaux Dyson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Herman Dyson

Surviving to cherish his memory are his two children, John C. Dyson Jr and his wife Risa of Ragley and Tammy Dyson of Moss Bluff, three grandchildren Skyeler, Audri and Brandon, two sisters Shirley Rewerts and her husband Jim of Vidor, TX and Roxie Malone and her husband Charlie of Westlake, and the mother of his children, Denise Dyson of Merryville.

John was a self-made man who worked as a carpenter for many years and operating his own contracting company Dyson Contracting. He loved to hunt, fish and being in the outdoors. He was a giving man who was willing to help anyone.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake and will resume Thursday at 9am until the time of service. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Words of comfort can be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
