He was born in Port Arthur, Texas and lived most of his life in Westlake. He graduated from Westlake High School. Jack retired from Transworld Drilling. He enjoyed playing golf and reading. Jack loved spending time with his grandchildren and was best known for his sense of humor.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne Blanchard of Breaux Bridge, Chris Blanchard of Youngsville, Michael Blanchard of Cypress, TX and Bud Decker of Deer Park, TX; three daughters, Penny Rohrer of Sulphur, Donna Leger of Bell City and Gayle Bienvenue of Houston, TX; three brothers, Danny Blanchard of DeRidder, Butch Racca of Iowa and Jerry Racca of Conroe, TX; three sister, Annette McPayne of Moss Bluff, Janette Fleming of Toledo Bend and Darlene Areno of Moss Bluff; two step sons, Scott Crochet of Houma and Todd Crochet of Houma; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 9pm and will resume Wednesday from 8am until service time at the funeral home. His funeral will be at 10am Wednesday, June 18, at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. The Rev. Wayne Blanchard will officiate.
