Mr. Ezra Carl Martin

Ezra Martin, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 30, 2010 at a local hospital, with his family by his side. He was a native of Boyce, LA and resided in Westlake, LA. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Sulphur. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired Operator Engineer Local 406. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Frances Martin, daughter, Renee and husband Butch Jones, son, Dennis and wife Sara Martin all from Westlake, twin brother Amos and wife Hattie Martin, and sister Amber Price of Robstown, TX, grandchildren: Chad Jones, Lauren Warner and Christopher Martin of Westlake, and Kari Holaday of Sulphur, and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Holaday and eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 2, 2010 at 2 PM in the Chapel at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake, with burial to follow in Westlake Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 3 PM to 9 PM and will continue on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 8 AM until time of service.
