Westlake - Edna Mae Moss passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in a local hospital. She would have been 97, on April 22.
She was born in Lockport, LA and lived in Westlake. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake, where she was the oldest member. She was also a member of Autumn Leaves and the Home Demonstration Club. Her and husband also served on the board for the local AARP Chapter. After her husband, Travis retired from Firestone, they traveled extensively in Canada, Mexico and all over the United States.
Survivors are her sons, Kent Moss and wife Nelva of Westlake; Troy Moss of Westlake; daughter, Wanda Fay Godwin of Lake Charles; brother, LeRoy Lyons of Longville; sister, Mary Morrison of Westlake; granddaughter’s, Angela Moss of Katy, TX; Trina Moss D’Quila of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Travis E. Moss; parents, Walter and Mary Lyons; brothers, Walter Leo Lyons, Jr., Robert E. Lyons; sisters, Emma Dennis and Beulah Venissat.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Westlake. Dr. Wayne McIntire will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and resume Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
