He was a native of Port Arthur, Texas, and a lifelong resident of Westlake, La. Eddie Joe was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church where he assisted with CCD, was an Usher, the A.C.T.S. movement, Cursillo movement and the yearly church festival. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus LaSalette Council #5755 where he was active. Eddie Joe loved the Westlake Rams Basketball and Football games and teams, making his rounds on his bike visiting and making friends along the way.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Alloy and Doris Hardy, and Sister, Donna Fuselier.
Eddie Joe is survived by his Aunts, Judy and husband Deacon Fred Reed of Westlake, La., Dorothy Wood of Knoxville, Tenn., and numerous Cousins with the Reed and Manual families.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake, La. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Westlake, La. with Father Jenesh Joseph and Deacon Fred Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Durio Cemetery in Oberlin, La.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus LaSalette #5755 Council or for Masses.
