Doris Edith (Willard) Koonce

Doris was born July 4, 1931 to parents Ben Henry Willard and wife Jewel in Jonesville, LA.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband of 62 years, Robert Koonce; parents, and brother, Ben A. Willard; and sister Hazel Miller and a host of friends and family.

Those left to cherish her beloved memory are her children, Diana Foster (David), Judy LeBlanc, Melinda Strickland (Keith); grandchildren, Brett Foster, Todd Foster (Kara), Rob Wasson (Tiffany), Laura Reed (Kevin), Sarah Wadley (Michael), and Seth Strickland (Tori); great-grandchildren, Logan Foster, Courtney Pickering, Chase Pickering, Caleigh Holland, Austin Foster, Brennan Foster, Bailey English, Bryce Dartez, Kevin Spell, Lexi Reed, Carter Reed; great-great grandchildren, Paisley Fruge, Tatum Holland, Jaxx Holland, and Kyleigh Holland.

Visitation for Doris will be held at Hixson Westlake on November 12, 2022 at 9:00am until services at 11:00am. Services to be officiated by Bill Saxby and David Brewer. A graveside service will follow at Westlake Memorial.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to a charity of choice, or Louisiana Baptist Children's home + Family Ministries.

The family would also like to give a special heartfelt thanks to her caregiver Rhonda Reed for her many months of exceptional care; also to give thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice for their compassionate care.
