Willem Janzen was born September 7, 1924 in Haamstede, Holland. He came to Canada in 1951, to be followed soon after by his dear wife Cornelia and their young family. He passed away peacefully at home on October 10 and is survived by his son Johan (Laurie), daughters Gerdineke (Conrad) and Dorothy, granddaughters Megan and Taylor, and grandson Spencer as well as family in Holland, New Zealand, Scotland and the United States. Willem was grateful for having been given a long
and healthy life with many friends. He was a longtime member of West Van United Church, a Rotarian with the Vancouver Club, and a founding member of the Netherlands Association for Senior Care. Through this association, he contributed to
the establishment of Haro Park Centre, a campus of care for elderly in Vancouver. No service or flowers by request. Donations may be made to the West Vancouver United Church, the Rotary Club of Vancouver or the Haro Park Centre Society.
