

Peg passed away peacefully on May 7, 2012, at the age of 86. She will be greatly missed by her dearest friend Dianne Miller, Norman Leggett, her nieces Jill Morrell and Lyn Pelletier (Mike), her nephews John Morrell and Rick Morrell (Patty), her great nieces and nephew Julie, Joann and Michael, her great-great nephews Cole, Tyler and Christopher, her great-great niece Lindsay, her god-daughter Kim and all of the Deyell family. Pre-deceased by her parents George Morrell and Miriam (nee Taylor), her brother Frank Morrell, sister-in-law Josephine Morrell (nee Thompson), her ex-husband Stanley, and her step-mother Doris (nee Cole). Peg graduated from nursing school in Philadelphia, and after a varied career in Toronto, including acting in plays, TV and movies; she graduated from York University with a BA in Sociology and Education at age 50. She then moved to Vancouver where she became Administrator of Kiwanis Lodge in West Vancouver. After retirement she joined the Kiwanis Association of West Vancouver where she served at its first woman president from 2000 to 2001. After cremation she will be interred with her parents at St.Johns Norwood Cemetery. By request no service was held. If you so desire donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
