Josephine Norah Reid

June 30, 1928- March 26, 2016

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jo Reid, who died March 26, 2016.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill of 59 years in 2013. She is survived by her 3 children, Pam Tucker (Brian), Mike (Susu) and Peter; her 5 grandchildren, Reid (Sam), Jeffrey, Alison, Connor, Katie; and her sister Marie Carter (Ernest).

Jo grew up in Vancouver and left to pursue her career as a ballet dancer working on traveling shows such Oklahoma for several years before joining the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. There she met her husband and they started their family, eventually returning to the Vancouver area and living on the North Shore for the next 57 years.

She will be remembered by her many friends, including her high school “club” of girlfriends and her swim group at Hollyburn.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 2 PM at St. Catherine’s Church with a reception following at the church.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Paul’s Cardio ICU for their care and compassion.
