John Lawrence Tearoe

August 4, 1923 – April 26, 2011

Early this morning at 2:10a.m. John L Tearoe (Bud) peacefully passed on, ending his courageous battle with cancer through the last 10 months. He retained his humor through to his last days. When asked by Rose, his devoted companion, caregiver and friend, if he was religious, he thought for a few moments than replied “Yes I Am. You see Rose, every time I hurt myself, the first person I call out is JESUS CHRIST”. Bud was 87 and was a true Canadian to heart. He would have loved to see the Canucks win game 7; was a gallant soldier who over reported his age just so he can serve his country in the last world war; a caring father who was there for his children and his grandchildren, he was a wonderful loving grandfather. Kirsten, Kaelen and Colin had the privilege of seeing their grandfather before he passed. Lovingly survived by sons; Bert, Brian (Marium), Bruce (Pam), Brent (Angela), grandchildren; Shelby, Stephanie, Kirstin, Kaelen and Colin as well as sister; Joy Cripps and Family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.
