Mrs Helen Elizabeth Walsh Spence

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on April 16th, 1924, she migrated to the West Coast with stops in Nelson, Victoria and finally the North Shore of Vancouver. With Alastair, they raised 3 girls, Marylou (Sewell), Lynn and Georgina. Professionally her skills in office management and bookkeeping kept Spence Dental Laboratories well tended. Community Endeavour’s included the United Church of Canada and her beloved Eastern Star. Her Star Sisters were a circle of strength over many years. Helen enjoyed her many travels with the photographer in the family, Alastair. In the last few months of her life, Mom reached a peaceful surrender gracefully passing on March 3, 2011. We’ll be missing you…from Alastair, her daughters, grandchildren, great-granddaughter and community of friends. Our heartfelt gratitude to Sunrise of Lynn Valley, The North Shore Hospice and Dr. W. Hofmeyr. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 11:00AM, Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd, North Vancouver. Rev. Cheryl Black officiating.
