1921 - 2021
Dennis was born and grew up in Manchester England, and earned his Engineering degree from
Cambridge University. During WW2 he served in the Fleet Air Arm and in 1944 while in Australia
he met his wife Patricia. They married in South Africa in 1949.
Dennis worked for Sheffield Steel in Toronto and Melbourne, Australia and finally settled with
his family in West Vancouver in 1967 where he ran a successful small business for many
decades selling racket strings.
He was a fit and avid sportsman enjoying tennis and squash, skiing and golfing well into his
eighties
Predeceased by his wife Pat, and sister Margaret in England
Survived by son Rob and daughter Elizabeth (Michael).
He died peacefully Oct 29 at Evergreen House just short of his 100th birthday.
Such a lovely man. Sharp until the end. He will be greatly missed.
