Tanner Morgan Hall, age 29, passed away unexpectedly Feb 29, 2024, in Farmington Utah. He was born March 29, 1994, at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to Darren Russell and Cheryl Clement Hall.
Tanner attended Hunter High School, where he participated in seminary council, orchestra and Madrigals. He later attended Utah State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Science.
He worked most recently growing plants and flowers for Perennial Favorites; enthusiastically nurturing, tinkering, and innovating as he purposefully dedicated himself to this loved industry.
For most of his life, Tanner was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many callings in the Church including full-time missionary service to the Philippines Quezon City Mission from 2013-2015 and found it easy to love and serve the people there.
Tanner is a kind and loving soul who loved and served his family and friends; always helping others in any manner possible; loving them and helping to lift their burdens.
Tanner is survived by his son, Cooper John Hall; parents Darren and Cheryl Hall; former spouse Katie Bell Hall; siblings Jacob (Lacey) Hall, Logan (Katie) Hall, Kaden (Eliza) Hall, Madeline (Tate) Renckert, Jonah (Samantha) Hall; grandparents Joan A. Hall, Charles R. and Ruth C. Clement; seven nieces and nephews: Brooklyn, Calvin, Megan, Bridger, Elsie, Preston, and Heber; and partner Cooper Scott Jorgensen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Calvin Dwain Hall, and aunt Kirsten Clement Chambers.
Tanner loved spending time with his family in the outdoors and went on hundreds of trips to the mountains and beyond finding adventures in hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and cooking. He had a profound appreciation for nature and loved being surrounded by God’s creations. Vacations with him were full of excitement and wonder, with untold encounters with plant and animal life. From the time he was a little boy, Tanner had a fascination with the natural world and frequently brought home unexpected animals that became family pets. Our homes were always filled with these animal friends.
Tanner was a favorite uncle here in mortality and was adored by all his nieces and nephews. Never shying away from any game or activity, he eagerly joined in, knowing it would bring joy and happiness to them. He had the ability to make any experience richer and more enjoyable and loved sharing his passion for life with all those around him. When Tanner was not present at family gatherings, he was clearly missed as he had the ability to bring out the best in everyone. What a great privilege it has been to know and love him throughout his life.
Tanner struggled at times with the challenges we experience here in mortality but found ways to share his life and his love with everyone. Tanner will always be remembered for his ability to bring light, love, and humor to those around him, and for his kind and generous nature. We will always treasure the thousands of precious memories that we and so many others were able to experience with him. May we each strive to learn to love as he did. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family but enduringly loved and remembered by each of them. We take great comfort in knowing that he is today, and forever will be in the loving care of our Heavenly Father, and under the healing power of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of life will be held Friday March 22, 2024, from 4:00-6:30 P.M. at the Hunter East Stake Center located at 5000 West Pavant Ave, West Valley City 84120 for all those who wish to attend.
