The light of the world was diminished on September 7, 2010 when Steven Allan Ford died of a broken heart. His journey began on April 7, 1980, a spark of joy in his parent’s lives. He went on to fill many roles: father, son, brother, special FX artist, minister, and friend.
He was loved by many, a wonderful friend with a great heart. He brightened the world with his unique gifts. A natural comedian, always bringing cheer to people with his jokes. A born entertainer, he was a makeup prosthetics artist who worked on numerous high school plays, haunted houses, theatre, movies made with friends, even helping Hollywood artists.
A licensed minister of the Temple of the Jedi Order, he presided over his elder brother’s wedding, having given the best ceremony attendees had ever seen. He loved his three children with all his heart. His passions were Star Wars, Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, scary movies and more.
Steven is survived by his mother and father, Marianne and Merrill Ford; brother, Andrew (Candis); son, Dimitry; stepchildren, “little” Steve and Madison; grandmother, Ruth; niece, Destiny; nephew, Dustin, and many extended family members.
Steven, we could have loved you better, but we could not have loved you more. As a professional security officer you kept us safe in the night. We know that you’re out there now, watching over us, brightening our lives from a distance with your love and laughter.
May the force be with you, always.
