Sam Eldon Hansen

Sam E. Hansen, 78, passed away on April 16, 2016 in Orem, Utah. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Tooele, Utah to James Ray and Violet M. Vowles Hansen. He attended Tooele High School. He married Judy Adams on October 17, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona and she passed away on November 8, 1989. Sam later married Nancy Bond on March 22, 2003 in West Jordan, Utah and were later sealed all together in the

Mt. Timpanogos Temple on December 29, 2009.

Sam loved fishing, camping, and most of all his family. Sam never met anyone he did not like. Sam could tell a good story or joke at a moment’s notice. Sam was a member of the LDS Church and was a dedicated home teacher.

Sam is survived by his wife; Nancy, daughter Missy (Kurt) Shepherd, two grandkids Samantha and Chance, and two brothers and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Judy M., two sons; Douglas J. and Jeffery D., and one sister; Nola Stever.

Services for Sam will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
