Known to friends and family as Bobbie Jo or Bob. Bob was a man, husband, father and poet. He not only wrote poetry, but he saw it in everything and everyone around him. He could write a poem about how the river was running, the sun was shining, or look inside a stranger’s soul and write a poem about them that made them wonder how he knew so much about them. He loved people. He loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting and greatly missed these things the last few years of his life. But he could still write a poem about them. Every member of the family had a nickname, like it or not. He was active in politics and community. He loved studying the gospel and held many positions in the LDS Church. He loved to sing and was in the choir. But nothing gave him more pleasure than having one of his grandchildren or great grandchildren on his lap and sing to them.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Arletta and their four children Bobbie (Ed) Carroll, James Frederickson, Ranae (Merrill) Wilson, Brenda Barnett. They have 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, his brother Dick Frederickson, his sister Alice Brown.
