Radele Roe Hepworth (“Del"), beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully from this life on October 10, 2024, to be reunited with her husband of 62 years, Keith H Hepworth who passed in 2017, and with many other special family members and friends. Born on May 27, 1935, in Colusa, California, Radele was the only daughter of Florence Edna Davison and James Harrison Roe. She was the apple of her big brother, James Donelly Roe’s, eye who was her hero and protector during her childhood years.
Radele was raised in the Episcopal Church, was later converted early in her marriage by two elderly sister missionaries to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was instrumental in raising her children in the faith. She served faithfully in many leadership callings in the Church throughout her life. She especially loved serving at the Jordan River Temple at the Family File desk for 32 years. She was beloved by all with whom and for whom she served.
Radele was a dedicated mother, grandmother, homemaker, and part-time bookkeeper for Keith’s small business for 49 years. She also became Keith’s full-time nurse during the last years of his life. Her last few years were spent in a care facility as she went through a gradual mental and physical decline resulting from vascular dementia and continued to brighten the lives of those around her with her stories, songs, and cheerful disposition.
Radele is survived by her children: Renee Reeves, James Hepworth, Kenneth Hepworth, and John Hepworth; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
